Rite of Christian Initiation (Adults and Children)

Are you an adult who wishes to be baptized?

Were you baptized in another Christian Church and now wish to join the Catholic Church?

Were baptized in the Catholic Church but never made your First Communion or Confirmation?

We invite to join the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA).

The RCIA process begins in September of each year and normally prepares people to enter the Church at the Easter Vigil in the following Spring.  The process includes classes, a relationship with a sponsor, retreats, and rituals during Mass.  The entire process is intended to be a process of spiritual growth, as well as a process of learning about the Catholic Church.

For more information about the R.C.I.A., contract Marilyn Torborg, Director of Faith Formation, 392-6700, ext. 111 or mtorborg@stfrancisholland.org.

R.C.I.A. - Jr.

Children and teens in the R.C.I.A.-Jr. process who are over the age of reason and have not been baptized will be prepared to celebrate the sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist.
